Today's Message: Positive emotions drive innovation. Designing and developing innovation requires that we utilize positive emotions effectively. Individuals and teams that use positive emotions and are emotionally intelligent get along well and are more effective at innovation than conflict-ridden teams. Teams that are more emotionally intelligent feel safe deliberately provoking and prompting new ideas, sharing new ideas, taking risks, making difficult decisions, contracting, and valufacturing, designing and learning significantly from failures. Negative emotions generate suspicion in the team preventing the team from learning from members. Positive emotions generate trust in the team making it significantly more productive and innovative.
